Unfinished Business Television takes a DEEP DIVE into the eerie, underrated 1988 horror thriller SPELLBINDER—a late-’80s genre oddity that blends erotic thriller, occult horror, and neo-noir paranoia. Starring Kelly Preston and Timothy Daly, the film slowly pulls the rug out from under the audience as reality, manipulation, and satanic ritual collide.

What makes Spellbinder even more fascinating is its infamous reputation off-screen. The movie has long been associated with claims that it was effectively banned or suppressed due to Scientology-related controversy, contributing to its limited availability, lack of promotion, and near-mythical status among horror fans. Whether rumor, industry pressure, or coincidence, the result is the same: Spellbinder became a hard-to-find cult curiosity instead of the mainstream hit it might have been.
