DISMISSAL TIME Crowdfunding Campaign

We just launched a brand new crowdfunding campaign to raise production funds for our important short film project, DISMISSAL TIME. With 23 days and counting, we need as much support as possible to cover the cost of such items for the production including the following:

School uniform wardrobe

Location fees

Production insurance

Gear Rentals

COVID Safety Supplies and Testing Gear

Meals and Catering for the cast and crew

Production on DISMISSAL TIME begins Oct. 4th in locations around South Jersey and Philadelphia. Should we raise more than the minimum goal listed, additional funds will only enhance the quality of the production. Please visit the link to learn more information and see what rewards are available for your help. All donation amounts listed are fully tax deductible as the campaign is active through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas.

Last 4 Days to Contribute to AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS at Seed&Spark

We are now down to the last 5 days of this Seed&Spark campaign for the American Gunslingers production and I’m going to be perfectly honest with each of you. We currently stand at 5% with every contribution we’ve received since the campaign started in March. But for us to receive all funds, we have to be at least 80%. So this is not like Indiegogo where we keep what we get. It’s all or nothing now.

As I mentioned several weeks ago as my team and I discussed a change in direction from feature film to episodic series, we were conflicted as to whether or not to continue the campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic which has everyone in the world on edge. But Emily Best and the team at Seed&Spark made an important rallying cry for all artists to not give up in such a grim time and that is what had convinced me to push forward.

The reality is our chances of making 80% of our goal are getting slimmer by the hours unless we get a miracle of big contributors to push us over. Given the 3 years we’ve been push this project, however, we are working in a sprint and not a marathon. So in the event that we fall short by the end of this campaign, we will arrange a way (likely PayPal) for you to re-send your contributions if you wish to do so and we will absolutely honor all incentives as promised. But before that happens, let’s see if we can still get whatever momentum we have left through link shares and WishList loans. That’s all we can ask from everyone today.

Final Week to Push AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS on Seed&Spark

As of today, we’re down to the final 8 days & need to reach 80% of #fundraising goal! Without the necessary funds, production needs such as horses, western-style locations, costumes, props, and special filming equipment will be harder to obtain. In these final days, we ask that you please do these 3 simple things: CONTRIBUTE! SHARE! FOLLOW! Please support the production of American Gunslingers at Seed&Spark! https://www.seedandspark.com/fund/american-gunslingers

Support the Production of AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS on Seed & Spark

Now looking ahead to the future, I am formally asking for your help and support once again for AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS. Today, we have launched the crowdfunding campaign on the website Seed & Spark to raise funds for the full-length feature. We have been planning this project for nearly 3 years. But in the midst of planning the full feature film last year, we realized the logistical and financial obstacles in producing an independent western movie in vintage New York and Connecticut restoration parks with period costumes, props, and of course horses. Now we are more determined than ever to pull the trigger on this amazing project this summer.

Seed & Spark will not only allow us to raise funds but also the ability to get specific offers for all production needs including equipment, locations, horses, etc. All that said, I am directly outreaching to YOU for a commitment to join us on the journey and donate to AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS within these next 45 days. If you are unable to commit financially, however, then you also have the opportunity to follow and share the campaign on all social media.

Please support this special project today: https://www.seedandspark.com/fund/american-gunslingers#story

Also, don’t forget our screening date for the American Gunslingers trailer at Garden State Film Festival is set for SATURDAY, MARCH 28 at the Berkley Hotel Continental Room (1401 Ocean Ave, First Floor, Asbury Park, NJ)! We will be in the 2:15-3:30pm screening block. For tickets, order at the following link: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4497449

AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS GoFundMe Update

As you all can probably see, this is our last day of fundraising for our trailer project on GoFundMe. I want to thank each of you who donated, shared the link, and expressed a great deal of support for our efforts. Between this campaign as well as private funds, we have enough to cover the production portion of this trailer shoot which will take place on June 2 and June 9 here in NY. But as always, we can use additional funds for editing, music recording, and to pay film festival fees. I’m happy to accept any further payments via my Venmo account @Andre-Joseph-10.

I will continue to update each of you as we progress in our trailer shoot as well as the entire AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS feature film production in the coming months. Be sure to ‘like’ our Facebook page for further updates! https://www.facebook.com/agsfeatures

THE SAXOPHONIST Campaign on Thunderclap

We just launched a campaign for social media boost site THUNDERCLAP. All we need between now and Sunday, July 23 is for 100 people to share this link on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr so that we can start trending online and boost donations on NYFA. It doesn’t cost a penny to do! Please support now by going to the following link: https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/59728-the-saxophonist-short-film

To find out more in depth detail on how exactly Thunderclap works, watch this intro video:

With production beginning just a few weeks away, let me explain why supporting this project will matter. Without your help, it will be extremely difficult to pay for specific location fees for the jazz club and ballet theatre locations in Manhattan. It will also be hard to have a sizable crew to ensure the professional quality that this movie cannot work without. This is my seventh film project since earning my BA in Film: Media Production at Emerson College in 2006. Of any project I have ever worked on, this is the most personal story to share to the world and I want to honor my family as well as the legendary musicians who inspired me to make this film.

Whether you can contribute a sizable amount of money or simply a dollar, all you have to do here is visit our fiscal sponsor website, the New York Foundation for the Arts, to make your donation which is 100% fully tax deductible. Thank you.

Pics and Video from THE SAXOPHONIST Fundraiser

We thank everyone who came out in support of the project last night and special thanks to PIPS for hosting our event in beautiful Williamsburg. Pics and videos to come. And for those of you who couldn’t make it and still want to make a tax deductible donation, please visit our official website at the link below for more information. https://ajepyx1.wixsite.com/ajepyxthesaxophonist/support
