This July on Brooklyn Free Speech TV, you’ll get to see a live performance of Beavin Lawrence, star of our award-winning short, THE SAXOPHONIST. He’ll also be performing live at East New York’s Fusion East Caribbean Soul Restaurant sometime this year for the Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival. Stay tuned for more great news about Beavin and our film which will be playing in Las Vegas this summer as part of the Hollywood Dreamz Film Festival!

A huge special thank you to everyone who attended our magical Saxophonist premiere! We’re very blessed with the positive reception we’ve received on the film. There’s still a lot of work to be done going forward. And for anyone who missed it last night, we’ll be screening again at Brooklyn High School of the Arts this coming Wednesday at 6pm!
We thank everyone who came out in support of the project last night and special thanks to PIPS for hosting our event in beautiful Williamsburg. Pics and videos to come. Friendly reminder to everyone that tomorrow is the big day for our fundraiser event to raise money for the production of the upcoming short romantic jazz film, THE SAXOPHONIST. The event is taking place at PIPS on 275 South 2nd Street (Between Havemeyer and Marcy Ave) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Come support the project which is fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts and you can purchase tickets early at Eventbrite or pay the cover charge at the door. Early admission fee grants you access to an open bar, free food live music by the film’s star Beavin Lawrence and his multi-talented Quintet featuring Stephen Porter, Eddie Allen, Mark Johnson, and Warren Byrd.
Check out this video that was shot at PIPS by the film’s producer Bill Mack of Cinomadic and cinematographer Charlie Williams which also features Beavin Lawrence. PIPS is not only an art space but also a table tennis center in Brooklyn.
On a side note, an issue had come to my attention this evening regarding ticket purchasing on Eventbrite. If you tried to order online and the site requested you buy a minimum of 5 tickets instead of 1, I just resolved the issue right now. So please, if you still plan to attend on Thursday, wanted to order online haven’t ordered already, please do so now! Otherwise, you can still arrive to PIPS and pay the cover charge.
Hope to see you all there!
