Not only did AJ Epyx Productions win with that song, but we also won for “Best Gospel Music Video” for the song “Get Involved” by Kym Swain! Thank you to Milan and Kym for allowing me the opportunity to direct for both of you and thanks to June Daguiso and WMIFF for recognizing us! See the full list of award winners here.

Check out the first of three interviews that the cast of Vendetta Games did last weekend with William Powell of Inside Acting TV at the World Music and Independent Film Festival awards gala! We also briefly mention American Gunslingers towards the end. Our interview begins at the 19:35 mark.
Here’s the 2nd interview we did exclusively for WMIFF. It starts at 22:07:
I’m happy to announce as of yesterday that Vendetta Games is now the WINNER of 3 WMIFF awards for Best Actor Andre Joseph, Best Supporting Actor Chris Corulla, and Best Supporting Actress Alyssa Schroeter! Happy Holidays to everyone who has supported our work throughout this year and the last 10+ years of AJ Epyx. Between our premiere of THE SAXOPHONIST and the continued accolades of VENDETTA GAMES, thank you for this blessing of a successful year we had. It means the world to myself and my team.
Next up, we have our latest Saxophonist screening at the Kwanzaa Film Festival in Harlem. Though the event begins at 10am, screenings start at 12 noon. Tickets can be purchased at the door. See below for the full info:

Here’s to more exciting projects and breakthroughs in 2019!
I have two MAJOR updates to bring to your attention regarding Vendetta Games:
1) In regards to the World Music & Independent Film Festival: Due to low sales with the planned festival on the cruise, the Awards Gala has moved. It will be taking place in Washington, D.C. at the Hilton Crystal City Hotel in Virginia on Saturday, January 12, 2019. The event will starts at 10:00 am for pre-gala interview, then lunch at noon, gala will starts at 1:00 pm till 5:00 pm. Tickets are $99 and can be purchased at this link.
2) The Atlantic City Cinefest was this past weekend where we screened. I was not able to attend because I was flying back from London at the time and the awards ceremony was the following day which I was too jet lagged to go to. Then I got some unbelievable news this past Tuesday afternoon: The film won 2 awards for “Best Director, Feature Crime – Andre´ Joseph” and “Best Actor, Feature Crime – Chris Corulla, Jr.”! There’s no doubt in my mind that each of you contributed to the success of VG. And for Chris who has been like a brother to me for 11 years now, this film is as much his as it is mine and JR’s. That’s why I’m proud to call him a brother for life.
We will continue to keep you all posted on future screenings. We’re still actively seeking distribution and had some leads that were not all that promising with their licensing deals. We’re not giving up that effort and though it’s early, we’re beginning to put together story ideas for the 3rd and final Vendetta film. Thanks again, everyone!
This Thursday, August 27th at 2pm, Writer/Director/Actor Andre´ Joseph will be making his 2nd appearance on The Show with Kym Swain! The discussion will be focused on our thoughts on last week’s World Music & Independent Film Festival where Tempted and The Dinner had screened, Catie Carlton’s WMIFF award win for the latter film, and new updates on the upcoming production of Vendetta Games.
We had just wrapped up a successful week in Washington, D.C. for this year’s World Music & Independent Film Festival. This past Thursday, we had our co-production with Crazy Daisy Films on the dark comedy THE DINNER had premiered, followed by our 3rd film festival screening of TEMPTED. Both films played in the main screening room of the National Navy Museum.
Then we had the WMIFF Awards show at the Crystal City Hilton this past Saturday. It was attended by myself, my DINNER co-director Anna Snead, and star Andrew Agner-Nichols. 7 WMIFF award nominations in all (2 for TEMPTED and 5 for THE DINNER). We had two highlights of the day starting with Catie Carlton’s win in the Best Actress in Short Film/DMV (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) for her role as “Lois” in THE DINNER! Two years in a row where our actors received accolades for their hard work. Congratulations Catie for your amazing work on the film!
Though I lost in both Best Director categories, I still had the honor and privilege to present a WMIFF award with Shari Belafonte, daughter of the legendary Harry Belafonte. While on stage before we announced the nominees, I thanked her and the Belafonte family for breaking barriers for us as African-American artists. Then we briefly danced after the winner was announced! A very nice way to cap off a very good week.
