UNFINISHED BUSINESS: DEEP DIVE – THE PRESIDIO (1988)

Unfinished Business TELEVISION does a DEEP DIVE on the ’80s Sean Connery mystery thriller THE PRESIDIO. Under the direction of RUNNING SCARED’s Peter Hyams, this San Francisco-set pic was Connery’s first lead role after winning the Oscar for THE UNTOUCHABLES. But it was also a failed attempt at making TV star Mark Harmon into a viable action star. Who else was up for the lead roles? How did the army intervene with the original script? And why does no-one like anyone? Find out, learn more, and please SUBSCRIBE!

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: DEEP DIVE – THE LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN (1985)

FAIR IS FAIR here at Unfinished Business TELEVISION DEEP DIVE where we look back as a piece of ’80s cheese with THE LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN. This poppy road drama-adventure flick was Helen Slater’s 2nd major film after SUPERGIRL and features the debut of the unrelated Christian Slater as her brother! What makes this movie a guilty pleasure and why does Pat Benatar hate it so much? Find out, learn more, and SUBSCRIBE!

If you or someone you know has serious interest in screening our film, contact us for details.

DISMISSAL TIME Wins “Best NJ Short” at Hang on to Your Shorts Film Festival

Another huge honor for our special story Dismissal Time, now WINNER for “Best New Jersey Short” at the 10th annual Hang on to Your Shorts Film Festival! I want to personally thank Hiram, Brian, and Rich for this award and more importantly getting our film seen in front of an audience. There’s no better feeling than to see the profound effect that such a traumatic experience can serve as a moment of clarity to educate not just teens but also teachers and parents.

In addition to this award, Dismissal Time has landed Semifinalist status for the Brooklyn International Short Festival and was accepted to screen as part of Hamilton Arts Festival Short Film Series! Hope to have more specifics on those soon and more. Once again, congrats to our cast and crew all around!

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: DEEP DIVE – I LIKE IT LIKE THAT (1994)

Unfinished Business TELEVISION’s DEEP DIVE boogies down to Bronx in the ‘90s to look back at Darnell Martin’s I LIKE IT LIKE THAT! This dramedy about the lives of mother and her bike messenger husband elevated new stars at the time such as Lauren Velez, Jon Soda, and Lisa Vidal. But how did this movie and its director survive studio interference? Find out, learn more, and SUBSCRIBE!
