While we came home empty handed for Dismissal Time, there was no better feeling than having the movie play in front of the DC audience! Eternally thankful to Master June Daguiso for the opportunity and even more thankful not only to see my buddy @milan3rd perform but also to WIN for BEST MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR for Milan’s song ANGELINA!
Huge news to break today as we found out that our award-winning short film Dismissal Time along with the Milan Lazistan music videos “Inspire Us” and “Angelina” will be a part of the 14th Annual World Music and Independent Film Festival in Washington, D.C.! All 3 of our projects are nominated for multiple awards and the winners will be announced at the gala in April 2023. Nominations are as follows:
Best Actress in Short Film – Lisa Regina
Best Actor in Short Film – Oliver Feaster
Best Supporting Actor in Short Film – Jay Pastelak
Best Director in Short Film – Andre’ Joseph
Best Screenplay in Short Film – Andre’ Joseph
Best Original Song – “Night Skies” by Matt Hackett and the Puge

We have a jammed-packed weekend full of opportunities to see Dismissal Time as well as Milan Lazistan’s pandemic-themed music video “Angelina”. The Newark International Film Festival has announced its schedule with Dismissal Time playing the same day as the NYC premiere at the NY True Venture Film Festival. Another big news day for us at AJ Epyx Productions! First, our newly award-winning short film Dismissal Time has been accepted to screen at the first annual Dirty Popcorn Black Film Festival in Wilmington, DE! Info is as follows:
The event kicks off at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 13th at The Delaware Art Museum and runs until 4:00 PM. Events include short film showings, meet and greet with local filmmakers, Q&A panel and an awards ceremony for selected films.
The festival is free to the public, but due to limited space, registration is required. Please be sure to register if you plan to attend. Don’t miss the chance to experience the masterpieces created by local filmmakers.

Additionally, Milan Lazistan’s pandemic-themed music video “Angelina” got accepted to screen at this year’s Newark International Film Festival! The event will take place September 7-11. More info to be announced about the screening date and time soon. Congrats to all!

We just received good news this evening that @milan3rd ‘s music video we produced ANGELINA was excepted to this year’s @atlantic_city_cinefest ! The event happens Oct 22-23 and will be taking place at Stockton University’s AC campus. Keep you posted on screening block and date!

Now casting for a brand new, pandemic-themed music video project for award-winning New Jersey musician Milan Lazistan. This project is fully social distanced. We are seeking to fill the following roles:
ANGELINA – Female, late 20s – early 40s. Attractive city nurse. Very athletic. Full of life, but very vulnerable in dark moments. Actresses must have access to a smart phone. Applicants with guitar playing skills will be seriously considered, but not mandatory.
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF – Open to any gender, 40 and up. All business and world-weary. Actors must have access to a computer with built-in camera and Zoom installed.
