2021 was a pivotal year for myself and AJ Epyx Productions, LLC by getting back to what I love to do and tell compelling stories worth the investment. I pray in the new year that some unfinished business gets done and to have that breakthrough moment both personally and professionally. Success is what you make of it.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: The BeBop Channel, home of the NY Jazz Film Festival where our short film THE SAXOPHONIST won Best Film in 2018, is holding a Viewers’ Choice Awards where all film currently available on The BeBop Channel app are eligible to win cash prizes up to $5000. There’s no doubt these funds will help us towards our next important film project. Between June 1st (Today) thru July 30th, YOU can help us win the big prize by simply watching THE SAXOPHONIST on The BeBop Channel website or app and then take the time to write a written review in the “Members Area” section.
The voting will be tabulated as follows: films will receive one “vote” per one “view” of their film. Should a fan take the time to write a review in the Member Area of our website, the film will receive 100 “votes” per written review. You just need to watch the film during the voting period to get counted!
The voting will be tabulated based upon the number of views and written reviews as follows:
Each Written Review (written in our Member Area) = 100 votes
Each View = 1 vote
How to write the written review is simple:
- Go to https://www.beboptv.com/congosquareforum
- Log-in or create an account if not already a member
- Write a review in the “Viewers’ Choice” box (there is no minimum word requirement) and be sure to mention the title of our film, THE SAXOPHONIST.
- Only one review per email address per film (you may use the same email address and review multiple film titles but can only review each film once.
Films can be watched free at The BeBop Channel through desktop, mobile and SmartTV apps below. No log-in necessary – you can literally just watch the film and your view will be counted as one vote!

The Wild West Film Festival in Vacaville, CA just announced their 2020 winners today and American Gunslingers WON its 3rd Best Trailer award! Though the festival itself couldn’t hold an in-person event due to COVID and the California wildfires, we’re still honored to be recognized once again and hope to get the completed project shown there in the future. Though we didn’t get to win the trailer award at Long Island International Film Expo, it was very nice for AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS be recognized for HONORABLE MENTION in the category. Any recognition for our work is always a blessing and another step towards progress. But a huge congrats is in order to our screenwriter Drew Henriksen for his award win at this festival for his script A BROKEN CHRISTMAS!
We woke up this morning happy to report that our trailer for AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS won the “Best Film Trailer” award last night at Arizona’s The Wild Bunch Film Festival! A huge thank you to Rock and Brenda-Marie Whitehead for this honor and to all of you who have been following the very long process of this project! We are going to continue to need all of your support to get the full story up on screen!
I’m proud to say that WE WON BEST DIRECTOR – LONG SHORT for The Saxophonist last night! This honor would not be possible without the talented cast and crew who made this film something dear to my heart. New Jersey’s Hang Onto Your Shorts Film Festival just released their filmmaker interviews today. This includes a one-on-one conversation with festival programmer Chris “CJ” Cullen and The Saxophonist writer/director Andre´Joseph. You can watch in the YouTube link where the interview starts at the 1:52:07 mark.
The Saxophonist will screen virtually this Saturday in the 7:05-8:26pm block (STREAM 2) where we are nominated for Best Long Short, Best Director, and Best Actor.
