THE SAXOPHONIST Accepted into NY Jazz Film Festival & Wins Accolade Global Film Award

We have a lot of great news to share to everyone in regards to THE SAXOPHONIST:

First, I am extremely happy to announce that we have been accepted into the New York Jazz Film Festival in August! I’ll have more information about the screening date in about 3 weeks. All Official Selections will be invited to the Red Carpet Awards Event to be held in New York City on August 26 and announcements of category winners will not be made until August 1, 2018.



I’m also happy to report that it has also earned an Award of Recognition for African-American film shorts at this season’s Accolade Global Film Competition! The full award list can be found here:

VENDETTA GAMES Accepted to The 14th Annual Action On Film International Film Festival

We’re happy to announce our 3rd official festival acceptance for the award winning crime thriller VENDETTA GAMES at the Action On Film 14th Annual International Film Festival and Writers’ Event in Las Vegas! AOFFEST will be held August 16-26 at the Brenden Theater located at Palms Casino Resort. Screening date and time to be announced soon. Thank you AOFFEST and congrats once again to the cast and crew!


Don’t forget the film will also play at the World Music & Independent Film Festival in early 2019. More news to follow!

A huge special thank you to Brooklyn High School of the Arts for hosting us in their lecture series and screening THE SAXOPHONIST. I truly hope this film will inspire the school to create an innovative film program to get kids involved in the process. This was truly an honor and I’m very pleased to say that as their semester winds down, the film is going to be taught in their film and performing arts classes!

Posted today was a nice article piece about THE SAXOPHONIST in writer/director Andre´ Joseph’s hometown newspaper, the Staten Island Advance. You can read the full article at this SILive link today. THE SAXOPHONIST premieres tomorrow night at Brooklyn Fete (1515 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226) at 7:30pm.
